Job Title: Process Engineer

 

Location: Saxmundham, Suffolk

 

Salary £35,000-£40,000 Per Annum

 

Platinum Personnel Solutions, are working with a leading specialist in Medical Manufacturing. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Process Engineer to join our customers dynamic team based in Saxmundham, Suffolk.

As a Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in Research and Development (R&D) initiatives, ensuring the successful implementation and improvement of manufacturing processes. Responsibilities:

R&D – Research and Development:

·        Lead R&D efforts for new projects and equipment.

·        Collaborate with the Projects team to enhance existing processes and develop new product processes.

·        Design tooling and machine setups for new projects.


Qualification Processes:

·        Perform Installation Qualification (IQ), Operation Qualification (OQ), and Process Qualification (PQ) as needed.

·        Carry out validations and introductions of new equipment.

·        Training and Collaboration:

·        Train Machine Operators on setups and process improvements.

·        Share experience, knowledge, and best practices with colleagues.

·        Collaborate with the Projects Director on process development.


Performance Objectives:

·        Report to the Projects Director, following directions and daily work schedules.

·        Support the Projects team in manufacturing processes and machine setups.

·        Apply best practice standards in Health & Safety, machine maintenance, and Standard Operating Procedures.


Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s):

·        Delivery of projects to customers On Time In Full (OTIF).

·        Achieve target product outputs from machine processes to meet quoted times.

·        Drive continuous improvements in current processes.

 

Essential Attributes:

·        Excellent communicator and team player.

·        Engineering background.

·        Knowledgeable and understanding of conversion machine processes and equipment.

·        Strong commitment to continuous improvement.

·        Methodical and logically oriented.

·        Ability to investigate and document machine and process alterations.

·        Professional, customer-friendly, and amenable.

·        Capable of holding and running meetings with customers.

·        Read and interpret specifications, part drawings, and work sheets.

·        Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.

·        Mastery of the method of operation and technical specifications of machine assemblies related to the job.

·        Willingness to support manufacturing by operating production machines when required.
